Thank You Pie Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. cornstarch
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. salt
    10 c. water
    10 c. apples
Preparation
    Peel and slice apples.
    Fill quart jars.
    Cook first four ingredients and water until thick and bubbly.
    Add lemon juice. Pour syrup over apples while hot.
    Can in hot water canner 30 minutes.
    Makes 7 to 8 quarts.
