Pecan Shortbread(Scottish Style Cookie) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. flour
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. sweet butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation

Heat oven to 325\u00b0.
Combine flour, sugar and cornstarch.
Cut butter into 1/4-inch cubes.
Cut butter into flour mixture using a pastry blender or two knives until it looks like coarse crumbs. Stir in pecans and vanilla.
Mixture will clump.
Pour into an 8 or 9-inch pie pan and pat with fingers to evenly cover the bottom of the pan.
Score into pie piece shapes with knife back.
Prick entire surface with fork.
Sprinkle with granulated sugar and bake 25 to 30 minutes.
Cut on lines while still hot.
