Dorothy'S Pumpkin Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. cooked pumpkin
    3/4 c. milk
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat until light and fluffy.
    Stif flour, salt, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg together. Combine pumpkin and milk.
    Add dry ingredients and pumpkin mixture alternately to creamed mixture.
    Fold in nuts.
    Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
