Kathy'S Spanish Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. grease (bacon)
    1 1/2 c. rice (instant)
    1 c. finely diced onion
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 small can tomato sauce or small chopped tomato
    1 tsp. cumin
    1/2 c. bell pepper, chopped
    1 Tbsp. Pace picante sauce
    2 c. water
    1 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    Brown rice in grease.
    Add onion, bell peppers, picante sauce and water.
    Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
    Uncover; add seasonings and tomato sauce.
    Continue simmering until liquid is absorbed. \"Ole.\"
