Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
    1/3 c. evaporated milk, plus 3/4 c. evaporated milk
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    1 c. pecans
    1 c. milk chocolate chips
    3/4 c. margarine
Preparation
    Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk; set aside.
    Beat together dry cake mix, 3/4 cup evaporated milk and 3/4 cup margarine.
    Bake half the cake batter in greased 9 x 13-inch pan in 350\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes.
    Spread caramel mixture on top of cake.
    Add pecans and chocolate chips.
    Spread remaining batter and continue baking for 15 to 20 minutes.
