Red Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. clams chopped
    2 c. diced fresh potatoes
    1 can tomato paste
    1 - 46 oz. can tomato juice
    2 stalks celery, diced
    1 c. diced onion
    1 jalapeno pepper, chopped
    1 small carrot, diced
    1/2 lb. bacon, diced
    water
Preparation
    Cook bacon in large pot.
    Pour off excess grease.
    Add clams. Cook and stir 1/2 hour.
    Add all vegetables.
    Cook 20 minutes. Add tomato paste and juice.
    Cook until all vegetables are tender. Add water to make about 4 quarts.
    Season with salt and pepper.
