Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    3/4 c. vinegar
    butter the size of an egg
    2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
    chopped onion and pickle (add if desired)
    2 qt. cooked, diced potatoes
Preparation
    Pour vinegar over flour and sugar; add 2 eggs and prepared mustard.
    Cook until thickened and add pepper.
    Add mayonnaise if too thick.
    Pour over 2 quarts cooked, diced potatoes.
