Chicken-Apple Saute - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 broiler-fryer (about 3 lb.), cut up
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1/2 c. thinly sliced onion (1 medium)
    1/2 c. thinly diagonally sliced celery
    1/2 c. dry white wine
    1/2 tsp. marjoram
    2 large (1 lb.) tart apples, cored and sliced thin
Preparation
    Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper.
    Brown well in hot oil in skillet.
    Add onion and celery; saute until vegetables are tender.
    Add wine and marjoram.
    Cover; simmer for 25 minutes. Stir in apples.
    Cover; simmer for 10 minutes or until apples and chicken are tender.
    Makes 4 servings.
