Lentil Pea Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. split peas
2 whole cloves
1 large onion
2 qt. chicken stock or water
1 bay leaf
2 garlic cloves
pinch of salt and ground pepper
Preparation

Soak lentils overnight.
Drain.
Insert cloves halfway into onion.
Add to pot with peas and next five ingredients.
Boil, skim off foam and simmer until cooked.
Remove bay leaf, garlic and onion.
Adjust seasoning to taste.
Serve.
