Macaroni, Ham And Cheese Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 oz. macaroni
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    2 c. whole milk
    1 c. grated sharp Cheddar
    1 Tbsp. chopped onion, very fine
    1 1/2 c. English peas, drained
    1/4 c. sour cream
    1 c. cottage cheese
    2 c. diced ham, cooked (chicken or other cooked meat may be substituted)
Preparation
    Cook macaroni according to package.
    Melt butter and stir in the next three ingredients.
    Gradually add the milk and cook, stirring until thickened, then boil for about 1 minute.
    Add the next three ingredients and mix with the macaroni.
    Grease a large casserole dish.
    Put about 1/2 of the mixture in the dish.
    Pour the sour cream and cottage cheese on top of this, then add the rest of macaroni.
    Add diced meat and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle with the Cheese Crumb Topping.
