Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1 (15 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple with juice
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. flour
    4 apples, peeled and chopped
    Cool Whip (about 12 oz.)
    pecans
    maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Blend the margarine, pineapple, sugar and flour and cook until thick.
    Cool.
    Stir the chopped apples, one at a time, into the mixture.
    Spread into an oblong dish (about 7 x 10 inches) and top with Cool Whip, pecans and maraschino cherries.
