Busy Day Oven Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean boneless beef chuck, cut in 1 1/2-inch cubes
    1 small onion, cut in wedges
    2 small bay leaves
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. dry red wine
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 tsp. beef bouillon granules
    1 medium clove garlic, minced
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 pkg. (20 oz.) frozen stew vegetables, thawed *
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
    In a 2 1/2-quart casserole, layer meat and onion.
    Add bay leaves.
    In a medium bowl, stir water, wine, flour, lemon juice, bouillon granules, garlic, salt and pepper until blended.
    Pour over meat.
    Cover and bake for 3 hours or until meat is almost tender.
    Remove bay leaves.
    Add well thawed stew vegetables; stir.
    Cover and bake 45 to 60 minutes longer, or until vegetables are tender.
    Sprinkle with parsley.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
