Aunt Sally'S Cocoa Drops - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. soft shortening (part butter)
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. buttermilk or sour milk
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. cocoa
Preparation

Mix thoroughly shortening, sugar and egg.
Stir in buttermilk and vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients together and stir in.
Add nuts.
Chill 1 hour.
Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
Drop with teaspoon 2-inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
Cool.
Frost with a chocolate icing.
Makes soft, fudgy cookies, studded with nuts.
Frost them if you like.
A family picnic favorite!!
