Indian Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 ripe tomatoes
    9 medium apples
    6 large onions
    2 green bell peppers
    2 red bell peppers
    3 c. brown sugar
    2 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Finely chop first 5 ingredients.
    Put in large saucepan.
    Blend in all other ingredients.
    Simmer slowly, uncovered, until thick, about 2 hours.
    Seal in pint jars.
    Makes 8 pints.
