Lemon Poppy Seed Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. melted margarine
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
    1/4 c. poppy seed
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Blend margarine and 1 cup sugar; beat in eggs, one at a time. Add almond extract.
    Mix together dry ingredients; add to egg mixture alternately with milk.
    Blend just to mix.
    Fold in peel and poppy seed.
    Pour into a greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 70 minutes.
    Mix lemon juice and 1/4 cup sugar; spoon over hot loaf.
    Let cool before removing from pan.
    Wrap and refrigerate for 24 hours before slicing.
