Hash Brown Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. baking potatoes, peeled (about 4 medium)
    2 Tbsp. chopped onion
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    3 Tbsp. butter flavor Crisco or 1/2 stick margarine
Preparation
    Shred potatoes into cold water; drain well.
    Combine with onion, salt and pepper in medium mixing bowl.
    Melt Crisco or margarine in large skillet.
    Add potatoes; spread evenly in pan. Cook over medium-high heat 13 to 15 minutes or until golden brown and tender, turning potatoes with spatula after half the time.
