Ingredients

2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/3 c. instant milk
1/4 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. oil
1 egg
1 c. water
1/3 c. your favorite jam or preserves
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Mix together all dry ingredients, then add oil, egg and water.
Mix quickly but well. Spoon half of the batter into 12 greased muffin cups, filling them about 1/3 full. Drop about 1 teaspoon of jam into center of each. Spoon rest of batter into cups.
If desired, sprinkle tops with a little cinnamon sugar. Bake near center of oven at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
