Meringue Fruit Nests - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg whites (at 70~)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. sifted finely powdered sugar
    granulated sugar
    2 pt. strawberries, sliced
    whipped cream
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until foamy, using an electric mixer. Add vanilla and cream of tartar.
    Add while continuing to beat, the sifted sugar, one tablespoon at a time.
    When the mixture stands stiff on the beaters, it's ready to bake.
    Do not overbeat.
