Surprise Salad - 1961 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. lime jello
    1 pkg. lemon jello
    2 c. hot water
    1 c. cottage cheese (small curd)
    1 c. crushed pineapple
    3/4 c. salad dressing
    1 c. walnuts
Preparation
    Combine the jellos and hot water; dissolve jello.
    Place in refrigerator; let chill to a thin cream (20 to 35 minutes).
    If overchilled, there will be lumps in finished salad.
    Stir the remaining ingredients into the jello mixture.
    Place in an 8 x 8-inch dish.
    Put in refrigerator until firm.
    Cut into squares. Garnish with red cherries and green citron for Christmas.
