Ingredients

1 c butter
1 1/2 c sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp soda
1 c buttermilk
3 c flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice
1 c jam (seedless blackberry)
1 c pecans
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar, add slightly beaten eggs, add soda to buttermilk and spices to flour. Add flour and milk to batter, alternately. Add jam then fold in pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until cake springs back to touch.
