Bran Muffins By The Pailful - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. bran
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. boiling water
2 c. soured milk or buttermilk
1 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Combine bran and salt.
Stir in boiling water.
Let set for 1 minute.
Add milk.
Cool to lukewarm.
Cream in sugar and shortening to bran mixture.
Beat in eggs and dry ingredients.
