Fruit Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. pecan halves
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. packed light brown sugar
    10 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 c. mixed candied fruit
Preparation
    Arrange pecan halves in greased 8-inch square baking pan. Combine flour, egg, brown sugar and melted butter in bowl; mix well.
    Pour into prepared baking pan.
    Press candied fruit lightly into batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Cool.
    Cut into squares.
    Yield:
    25 servings.
