Southern Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup whole kernel canned corn, drained
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1/2 medium sized onion, chopped
    1 1/2 cups corn meal
    1/2 cup flour
    milk
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    In a medium sized bowl mix cornmeal, flour, egg, sugar, salt, pepper, corn and onion. Add enough milk to make a pancake-like batter. Pour mixture into a greased baking pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes or until top starts to brown slightly. Remove from oven and slice into squares. Serve hot with butter.
