Artichoke Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (6 oz.) jars marinated artichokes
    1 medium onion, chopped
    4 eggs, beaten
    1/4 c. fine, dry bread crumbs
    1/2 tsp. dried oregano
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    dash of hot sauce
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Drain artichokes, reserving liquid; set aside.
    Cook onion in reserved liquid in skillet until tender.
    Combine eggs, bread crumbs, oregano, salt, pepper and hot sauce in a large mixing bowl; mix well.
    Add onion, artichokes, garlic and cheese; stir well.
    Pour into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until set.
    Cut into squares to serve. Yields 4 dozen appetizer servings.
