Mum'S Molasses Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. molasses
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. boiling hot water
1/2 c. raisins
Preparation

Cream together ingredients
in\torder
given: molasses, sugar, shortening, flour,\teggs,
cinnamon,
ginger
and salt. Mix soda in boiling hot
water
before
adding to creamed mixture.
Bake in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
Let cool and use whipped cream for topping.
