Sandra'S Coconut Date Nut Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. chopped dates
    1/2 c. oleo
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    3 c. Rice Krispies
    1 c. nuts, chopped
    2 c. flaked coconut
Preparation
    Combine dates, oleo, sugar and eggs in saucepan.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thoroughly cooked (about 10 minutes).
    Set aside to cool.
    When cool, add cereal and nuts. Mix and shape into balls and roll in the coconut.
    Keep a bowl of cold water to wet fingers in so that mixture does not stick to hands.
    Yield:
    3 to 4 dozen.
