Almond Fruit Loaf - Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. each or 1 1/3 c. dried apricots, pitted prunes and figs
    4 c. (about 1 lb.) almonds, coarsely chopped
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    2 1/4 ??? baking powder
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
    Butter and flour a 5 x 9-inch loaf pan. Combine fruit, nuts, flour, baking powder and 3/4 cup sugar; stir to mix evenly.
    Use a mixer to beat eggs and 1/4 cup sugar until tripled in volume.
    Pour into fruit mixture and stir with a spoon to blend.
    Pack evenly into prepared pan and bake 2 hours or until done.
    Cool in pan 15 minutes.
    Invert and cool on rack.
