Shish Kebabs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. vegetable oil
    1 c. red wine
    3 bay leaves, crumbled
    2 Tbsp. wine vinegar
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    6 lb. chuck steak, cut in 1 1/2-inch cubes
    1 lb. large mushrooms
    9 medium white onions, peeled and quartered
    6 large green peppers, cut in 1 x 1-inch pieces
    1 pt. cherry tomatoes
Preparation
    In a bowl, stir together first 6 ingredients to make marinade. Place steak cubes in a large, shallow pan.
    Pour marinade over steak. Stir to coat.
    Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours. Stir occasionally.
    Fill 12 long skewers.
    Skewer meat and vegetables, beginning and ending with meat.
    Broil or grill for a total of 15 to 20 minutes, turning once.
    Brush with marinade while cooking. Oil long skewers.
