Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. caramels
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. butter
    1 (6 or 8 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1 (4 oz.) pkg. pecan pieces
Preparation
    Mix cake mix according to package directions.
    Pour half of the batter into a buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
