Mary'S White Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. water
    6 egg whites
    2 c. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/3 c. milk
    2 tsp. flavoring
Preparation
    Cream together shortening and sugar.
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture.
    Mix in milk, water and flavoring.
    Fold into stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Put in 3 layer pans and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
