Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. steak or deer
    4 large bell peppers
    2 large onions
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    dash of garlic powder
    1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 can water
    1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Cut steak into strips; flour lightly.
    Brown in shortening then simmer with lid on skillet until tender.
    Add bell peppers that have been cut in strips; add onions that have been sliced. Cover and simmer until onions can be cut with a fork.
    Mix soup with water; add to meat mixture.
    Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Serve hot over a bed of cooked rice.
