Tennessee White Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. Great Northern beans, soaked overnight and drained
    6 c. chicken broth
    2 onions, chopped
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    2 (4 oz.) cans green chilies, chopped
    1 1/4 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
    2 tsp. cumin
    4 c. chicken breasts, cooked, boned and diced
Preparation
    Combine the beans, broth, garlic and 1 onion in soup pot. Bring to a boil.
    Lower heat and simmer 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
    Saute the other onion in the margarine until tender.
    Add the chilies and seasonings.
    Mix well and add this to the cooked beans.
    Add the chicken and simmer at least 1 hour to blend flavors.
    This may be served with grated sharp Cheddar cheese and cornbread.
