Italian Sausage Empanadas - cooking recipe

3 c. flour
2/3 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
12 to 15 Tbsp. iced water
Preparation

Cut shortening into flour and salt mixture until it forms pea sized balls. Add iced water to flour mixture until ball forms. Knead mixture slightly by hand and set aside in refrigerator while preparing the filling.
