Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. sliced cucumbers
    2 large garlic cloves
    3 or 4 sliced white onions
    1/3 c. pure salt
    2 trays ice
    3 c. clear vinegar
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Mix vegetables and salt with 2 trays ice and let stand for 3 hours, drain and remove garlic.
    Combine vinegar, sugar, turmeric, celery seed and mustard seed.
    Bring to boil, add vegetable mixture.
    Heat about 5 minutes.
    Pack in jars and seal.
