Italian Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground pork
1 green pepper, chopped
1 (12 oz.) can Progresso Italian whole tomatoes
1 can sliced mushrooms
1/2 c. extra light olive oil
spices to taste: basil, oregano, salt, pepper, garlic powder and parsley
1 large onion, chopped
1 (12 oz.) can Progresso tomato puree
1 small can Progresso tomato paste
1 Tbsp. minced garlic
1/4 c. white wine
Preparation

Combine olive oil, minced garlic, onion and green pepper in Dutch oven or large pot.
Saute until tender.
Add pork and brown. Add tomato puree and tomato paste, stirring until combined. Strain whole tomatoes through strainer (mash by hand) so that only the juice goes into the sauce.
Add remaining ingredients and season to taste.
Simmer over very low heat for 1 hour, stirring constantly.
Sauce freezes well and recipe makes plenty!
