Buttermilk Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. butter
    1/3 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Combine first 5 ingredients, mixing well; cut in butter with a pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse meal.
    Add buttermilk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.
    Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; knead lightly 8 to 10 times.
    Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness; cut with biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until golden.
    Yields 1 dozen.
