Persimmon Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. soda
2 eggs
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 lb. white raisins
1 c. almonds or pecans
1/2 lb. candied pineapple
1/2 c. shortening
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. warm water
2 c. persimmon pulp
1 lb. dates
1 c. walnuts
1/2 lb. candied cherries
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs; beat well.
Add pulp; beat.
Add all dry ingredients (except soda) sifted together.
Add soda, dissolved in warm water, and lemon juice.
Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for about 1 1/2 hours.
Cool in pan.
