**Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs, unbeaten
1/2 c. pecans
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk
2 c. flour
1 c. mashed real ripe bananas
Preparation

Cream sugar with shortening.
Add eggs; beat well.
Add pecans.
Mix soda in buttermilk.
Add with flour and bananas. Bake in loaf or layer pans at 350\u00b0 for about 35 minutes.
