Rum Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 yellow cake mix
    1 small instant vanilla pudding mix
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. rum or 1 oz. rum extract
    1/2 c. cold water
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
    1 stick butter
    1/4 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. rum or 1 oz. rum extract
Preparation
    Melt butter; add water and sugar.
    Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in rum.
    Drizzle over cake.
