Tomato Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (10 oz.) cans tomato puree
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    6 slices fresh bread, broken into big chunks
    1/2 c. melted butter
Preparation
    Mix first 4 ingredients and boil for 10 minutes.
    Put bread in casserole.
    Pour over bread the butter.
    Mix, then pour tomato puree over all.
    Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 300\u00b0.
    Can be made a day ahead.
