Ingredients

2 c. milk, scalded
pinch of salt
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine sugar, salt and cornstarch.
Add eggs.
Mix thoroughly.
Add milk slowly, stirring constantly.
Cook over hot water until thick and smooth, stirring constantly.
Cool.
Add vanilla and pour into a baked pie shell.
Top with meringue or whipped topping.
