Split Pea Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. dried green peas
1 large onion, chopped fine
4 medium carrots
1 stalk celery
2 cloves garlic
1 large potato
1 bay leaf
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 (14 oz.) cans chicken broth
1 qt. chicken broth, made with chicken base
2 c. cubed ham
1 ham bone
Preparation

Saute onion, celery and garlic in bacon fat.
Cook until soft and put in blender.
Add more seasoning.
With corn bread, this makes a good meal.
