No-Knead Onion Barbecue Buns - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. scalded milk
1/4 c. shortening
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. water
1 cake yeast
1 egg
3/4 c. chopped onions, browned in butter
3 c. flour
Preparation

Combine milk, shortening, sugar and salt.
Cool to lukewarm by adding water.
Add yeast, egg and onions.
Add flour, mix to soft dough and shape.
For round buns, roll dough to 1/4-inch thick an cut with 3 1/2-inch cutter.
For square buns, roll dough to 9 x 12-inch rectangular shape.
Cut into 12 (3-inch) squares.
For wiener buns, divide dough into 12 parts, then shape into long, narrow buns.
Place on greased sheet.
Let rise in warm place until double in bulk.
Bake 15 minute at 400\u00b0.
