Blackberry Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 c. blackberries
    7 c. sugar
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Pick over, wash, drain and crush the berries.
    Measure to make sure you have nine cups.
    Add the water.
    Boil until berries are soft.
    Add the sugar.
    Boil to almost
    jelling point.
    Pour boiling hot into jars and seal at once.
