My Grandmother'S Carrot Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. grated carrots
    1 1/2 c. Wesson oil
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs, well beaten
    3 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    3 tsp. baking powder
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and baking powder. In a separate bowl, beat oil, sugar and eggs.
    Combine both; mix in carrots and nuts.
    Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Do not open oven for the 1 hour of baking.
    Test with toothpick.
    Cool on rack and sprinkle with sifted powdered sugar.
