Cheese Bites - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    2 (8 oz.) c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ground red pepper
Preparation
    Beat butter at medium speed until creamy; gradually add cheese.
    Combine flour, salt, red pepper; gradually add to cheese mixture, mixing well.
    Cover and chill 1 hour.
    Roll dough into 3/4-inch balls and place on cookie sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Yields 3 dozen.
