Aunt Velva'S Gumdrop Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. applesauce
4 c. flour
2 lb. gumdrops (don't use black ones)
1 lb. raisins
1 1/2 c. nuts
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 Tbsp. hot water

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs and 2 cups flour.
Combine applesauce, raisins, gumdrops, nuts, remaining flour and spices.
