Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. milk
1 c. shredded coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine sugar, butter and milk in saucepan.
Simmer, stirring constantly to soft ball stage or 238\u00b0 on candy thermometer. Remove from heat; stir in coconut and vanilla.
Beat until creamy. Pour into a greased 9-inch pan.
Allow to stand for 30 minutes. Cut into squares.
