German (Beer) Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. each: allspice and cloves
    2 c. chopped dates
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    1 c. butter or margarine, softened
    2 c. packed brown sugar
    2 eggs
    16 oz. beer
Preparation
    Mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon, allspice and cloves; set aside.
    Combine dates and nuts.
    Stir in a small amount of the flour mixture, to coat; set aside.
    In large bowl, cream the butter and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg.
    Add flour mixture, alternately with beer, blending well after each addition.
    Stir in dates and nuts.
    Pour into well-greased and floured 12-cup fluted tube pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
    Cool pan on rack for 10 minutes.
    Turn out and cool.
    Wrap in foil and refrigerate for 24 hours.
