Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. light brown sugar
    3/4 c. hot water
    3/4 c. cream
    vanilla
    butter (size of 1/2 egg)
Preparation
    Dissolve sugar in hot water.
    Gradually add cream.
    Cook to soft ball.
    Add vanilla and butter and beat until creamy enough to spread.
